Ron doesn't have the juice, he's woefully juice-less, if he was an Elden Ring boss he'd be Ron the Rizzless

On top of spaghetti All covered with cheese I lost my poor meatball When somebody sneezed.

It rolled off the table And onto the floor And then my poor meatball Rolled out of the door.

It rolled in the garden And under a bush And then my poor meatball Was nothing but mush.

The mush was as tasty As tasty could be And early next summer It grew into a tree.

The tree was all covered With beautiful moss It grew great big meatballs And tomato sauce.

So if you eat spaghetti All covered with cheese Hold on to to your meatballs And don't ever sneeze.

The Republican party is simply the party of Trump; it feels bizarre that a clown like him got so far (until you realize reactionaries always flocked to demagoguery more than they did people with actual solutions) and frankly if he gets his second term I really do think he can convince his voters to support his son. I genuinely can't imagine Republicans giving a final farewell to a Trump presidency.

I think the voters would have to convince Trump to support his son more than the other way around.

I know "demagogue" is a lib meme specifically meant to demonize mass politics but this describes the Democrats too. Lib voters have a faith in their elected officials totally disproportionate to anything they actually do.

Pied Piper strategy keeps winning

Maybe they'll be able to change the law to allow a third term for him over passing control to his son. I think Trump hates his son anyway

Man, I am more and more convinced it’s going to be a stupider, more pathetic version of 2016. A clown car of losers tripping over each other in a desperate attempt to be on top in case Trump dies or drops out. All of them are gonna humiliate themselves fighting each other and he’s gonna float above dropping insults they can’t return since they need his rabid base

[-] [email protected] 16 points 2 years ago

The only person who can win as a Republican is Trump, anyone else is a dollar tree nobody

Am I reading this right that Pence was over 10% at one point? That doesn't feel even remotely believable to me.

[-] [email protected] 9 points 2 years ago

Don has as much chance of winning as anyone else. Don't count Rob out just yet, he's becoming a household name.

the observation that various pollsters overestimate the strength of candidates -- it's usually by party so no clue how they're measuring it for a primary. there's also a baked in assumption that the truth always lies somewhere in the middle between center right and far right.
