The US is not a serious country.

[-] Cocodapuf@lemmy.world 25 points 9 hours ago

They want to investigate the halftime show?

Uh, I think it's on YouTube, they can probably watch it there...

"Ma'am what did your nephew say when you asked him why he had so many girlfriends?"

"Senator, he said he has one girlfriend, and tomorrow he will have another one"

[-] IEatDaFeesh@lemmy.world 11 points 8 hours ago

They're low-key making him more famous. I don't like Bad Bunny's music but now I like him for pissing off Trump. I might revisit his songs tbh.

[-] CADmonkey@lemmy.world 8 points 7 hours ago

I'd literally never heard of him before the super bowl halftime/tpusa snowflake safe space alternative half time show. But guess who is listening now?

[-] yoyoyopo5@lemmy.world 18 points 13 hours ago

Investigate the Epstein files.

[-] IamSparticles@lemmy.zip 13 points 15 hours ago

Oh noes! Somebody danced provocatively on TV!

Anyway... who are the men that were redacted out of the released Epstein files?

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 12 points 13 hours ago

Apparently bringing corpses from the 90s back who got famous singing about fucking children is ok, but some people with brown skin dancing provacatively is a bridge too far.

Conservative logic.

[-] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 28 points 17 hours ago

Kid Rock (whose song “Cool, Daddy Cool” features the lyrics “Young ladies, young ladies, I like ‘em underage / See, some say that’s statutory / But I say it’s mandatory”)

So Kid Rock regularly fucks little children. I expect his arrest any second, now.

Really leaning into it. Why not, they see the president and his whole class get away with it, kill the witnesses and get it called suicide. Child rapers are king, everyone will emulate them, in this, in lying and cheating to steal, then in slandering their victims to justify cheating them. In filing abusive lawsuits to force people to defend themselves in court even when they aren't in the wrong.

We really couldn't have picked a worse person for everyone to emulate.

I think they're trying to whip the pearls at the face of passersby at this point.

Well whip I whip never! whip

Are all republicans just genuinely dumb as a fucking brick?

Maybe the central theme of a functional democracy should be education, because it seems to destroy conservative agendas (because the conservative agenda is based on idiocy, hate, and racism)

[-] sturmblast@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Yes, they are.

[-] lemmy_outta_here@lemmy.world 5 points 16 hours ago

Not all of them. A tiny fraction are rich and evil, but not necessarily dumb.

[-] OneWomanCreamTeam@sh.itjust.works 1 points 14 hours ago

Most of 'em are both

[-] gAlienLifeform@lemmy.world 20 points 19 hours ago

“American culture will not be mocked or corrupted without consequence,” Ogles said.

Fuck all the way off you fucking illiterate dipshit. The best parts of "American culture" are and always have been mocking evil puritanical shitheads like you who really just hate art in general and people you don't own.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 17 points 20 hours ago

A new distraction from the Epstein Files, stealing Venezuelan oil, clearing Gaza to build the Trump Gaza Dubai, Paramilitary Death Squads roaming the streets and breaking out into spontaneous firing squads against innocent citizens, accepting bribes from Arab businessmen, building concentration camps around the country, stealing elections, losing EVERY court case, PEDOPHILES, etc.

But by all means, let's get to the bottom of this Bad Bunny scandal.

[-] pyre@lemmy.world 5 points 17 hours ago

you should be banned from pretending to care about any morals when your god is mentioned in the Epstein files a million times.

As if trying to leave Puerto Rico to fend for itself after a hurricane disaster wasn't enough.

Fucking assholes every fucking day, doing nothing but to serve Kluxers.

[-] mcv@lemmy.zip 135 points 1 day ago

They will investigate anything but the Epstein files.

So all you have to do to upset conservatives is speak spanish in front of them. Hey is there an easy way to learn conversational spanish?

[-] stringere@sh.itjust.works 7 points 19 hours ago
[-] Cricket@lemmy.zip 1 points 14 hours ago

Awesome, thanks, looks interesting! I had never heard of it before, and I've been researching Spanish courses for a while now.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 6 points 20 hours ago

Just fake it. They won't know the difference, and it will piss them off just as much as the real thing.

[-] maturelemontree@lemmy.zip 8 points 22 hours ago

Always has been. Theyve been "deporting" legal citizens by skin color.

[-] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 5 points 20 hours ago

Ogles, who is apparently the living embodiment of Smithers when he’s cornered by strippers

That's proper journalism.

[-] qarbone@lemmy.world 35 points 1 day ago

I cannot stress how much these people should be made incompatible with leadership.

A criminal investigation in a thing that was plainly televised?? At fucking worst, you check existing laws about obscenity. What is there to investigate?

An unconscionable, baldfaced waste of time and resources for personal grievance.

[-] glorkon@lemmy.world 9 points 21 hours ago

As a German, the first thing that came to my mind when reading this, was the term "Entartete Kunst".

[-] sem@piefed.blahaj.zone 5 points 21 hours ago

How would you translate that to English?

[-] glorkon@lemmy.world 13 points 21 hours ago

"Degenerate art". A term the Nazis used for all art they did not understand or like because it didn't fit their ideology.

[-] Whats_your_reasoning@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

This is what I was wondering. What exactly is there to investigate? I read the article and it doesn’t say. I saw talk about gyrations and crotch-grabbing though.

It almost reads like some republicans felt a stirring in their loins and now they want an excuse to watch the show over and over again.

[-] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 5 points 21 hours ago

Oh good I’m sure this will help the poor, sick, and vulnerable…

[-] spacebread98@lemmy.zip 88 points 1 day ago

I wonder how much money this investigation will cost me as a US taxpayer

[-] heiligerbimbam@lemmy.wtf 34 points 1 day ago

Not as much as the new ballroom or the triumphal arch, I guess.

Oh no a brown man is singing, begin a criminal investigation 😭

[-] ptz@dubvee.org 108 points 1 day ago

Other Republican politicians, including former President Donald Trump, also criticized the show as inappropriate.

  2. USA Today needs to either use a better model or just get rid of the AI-generated key point summary.
[-] IrateAnteater@sh.itjust.works 39 points 1 day ago

It's not technically wrong though. He is a former president, as well as the current one. And I'm betting that referring to him as "former president" would get under his skin, so I'm all for it.

[-] taiyang@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago

Former president and failed 2020 electorial candidate Donald Trump.

They should investigate how Kid Rock managed to fuck up his lipsync so bad and how nobody thought it'd be good to do another take since that whole bullshit was pre-recorded anyway
