Lol

Kamala never said what she would do.

Uh, she did. You just don't wanna talk about how similar it is to what Trump is doing.

[-] [email protected] 56 points 3 days ago

Immigration? She literally gave a speech that gave us volcel-kamala.

The military? She literally gave a "we'll have the world's deadliest military" speech

Iran? She literally wants to bomb iran more than Trump does

i used to think liberals were smarter than conservatives but good fucking god is that not true for bluemaga

Kamala Harris says Iran is ‘greatest adversary’ of US

Harris Deflects On Questions About Border Wall, Taxes, Israel In CNN Town Hall

In the final leg of her campaign, her attacks on Trump's fascism were that it was ineffective. She and the dems abandoned any progressive cause to fight for a fascism with less abhorent asthetics.

Neoliberalism is fascism with "reason and logic", technocratic aesthetics

This is why I say Western societies are culturally fascist. It also turns that fascist conspiracy theory about "cultural Marxism" on its head.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

culturally fascist

chefs-kiss perfect. This is why people act like Trump "hijacked" the republican party. US libs are too culturally fascist to notice that the republican party was a vehicle for a crypto-fascist movement for over 60 years before MAGA came about

"Under my administration we will have the most lethal military in the world."

[-] [email protected] 61 points 3 days ago

"We need clear goal statements"

"We need to tell voters what we will do."

Doesn't give any clear goal statements or tell voters what they will do

Bravo, perfect New York Crimes article. No notes.

They are absolutely digging in on anti-progressive. It's going to be a long decade.

[-] [email protected] 22 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

It's going to be a long decade

yeah some weeks can feel like that

[-] [email protected] 39 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

They keep not actually saying what they want though, other than "we can't make everyone happy." So they plan to abandon LGBTQ but trans especially.

The right can organize because a) they fundamentally only believe in empowering the existing hierarchy and b) Trump's victory realigned the party so everyone who didn't get along left.

The Dems are an unorganized mish mash of corporate hawks, laborish organizers, social justice activists, and interest groups. They have no central ideology which is why there's always difficulty uniting the corporate owned leadership and the kinda working class base.

Project 2029 has someone on the advisory board who has founded a group called Third Way?

Hmmm. That sounds new and exciting and doesn't remind me of anything else! Definitely doesn't sound fascist like Drumpf's Project 2025.

[-] [email protected] 25 points 3 days ago

No new ideas.

[-] [email protected] 12 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Surprised by how few people seem to recognize the Third Way centrism popularized by Bill Clinton in the 90’s. Third Way is the ideology of the New Democrats who also happen to be the largest caucus in the Democratic Party.

[-] [email protected] 34 points 3 days ago

spoiler alert: it's everything in Project 2025, but five years later.

[-] [email protected] 34 points 3 days ago

Somehow, Neera Tanden returned

[-] [email protected] 25 points 3 days ago

I love how the democrats are so spineless their grand plan is to make a crappy imitation of some thinktank whitepaper over a weekend on a shared microsoft word document. It wont get distributed because no one can figure out how to save it as .pdf

[-] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

The consultants will make a killing though

[-] [email protected] 27 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

I assume the plan is to lie cheat and steal however they have to in order to scrabble their way back into power, only to do more Nothing if that's achieved. The real question is only how to sell all this Nothing to the american public without anyone questioning why they don't use the broad, sweeping powers exercised by Trump to do Literally Anything Good.

[-] [email protected] 15 points 3 days ago

At least they'll have a hard time justifying it with how trump>Biden>trump turned out

[-] [email protected] 18 points 3 days ago

ohhhhhhhhhhh but they're gonna!

[-] [email protected] 12 points 3 days ago

without anyone questioning why they don't use the broad, sweeping powers exercised by Trump to do Literally Anything Good.

"We must protect and rebuild the institutions and we cannot do that by breaking more rules like our adversaries" is what they'll say once they get into power. Before they get into power all kinds of vague promises of justice and doing this and that. But darn it the Parliamentarian will rule against them and they refuse to be just like the enemy they fight in effectively getting things done. They're going to set an example of their ideals!

[-] [email protected] 20 points 3 days ago

Democrats don't get it. Trump is PROBABLY going to leave office like every other president, with a shit approval rating, and the Democrats think that adopting the Republican language of what they will do/did in office is a good idea.

Morons

[-] [email protected] 24 points 3 days ago

The goal of the Democratic party isn't to win, it's to coax out money from donors. They don't care if they get into office or not. Actually they probably prefer when Republicans win because they get more money out of it.

[-] [email protected] 12 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

The dems do more than that. They play an important role in normalizing and solidifying the policies put in place by republicans brump

[-] [email protected] 17 points 3 days ago

Its likely gonna clamp down on mamdani or other socdem types because they sure as shit aren't doing much against the democracy ending repubs.

[-] [email protected] 15 points 3 days ago

Capital has privatised the 5 year plan.

[-] [email protected] 17 points 3 days ago

Project 2029: same as Project 2025 but done quietly

[-] [email protected] 16 points 3 days ago

With this return to normalcy I can finally go back to brunch

She hasn't been here in a year. :(

[-] [email protected] 3 points 3 days ago

Well she's been busy with Project 2029 duh

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 days ago

the avengers of public policy

[-] [email protected] 36 points 3 days ago

Ms. Tanden is part of a sizable advisory board for Project 2029 that includes Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser under former President Joseph R. Biden Jr.; Anne-Marie Slaughter, the former president of the New America Foundation; the economist Justin Wolfers; Felicia Wong, until recently the president of the progressive Roosevelt Institute; and Jim Kessler, a founder of the centrist group Third Way.

...

Mr. Cherny, now the president of the journal he helped create, called the assemblage “the Avengers of public policy, or the Justice League, depending on your personal persuasion: the best thinkers from across the spectrum.”

They've got everyone from across the spectrum.

A wide spectrum of neoliberals and a token progressive that will be railroaded in every meeting.
