Most kids are really smart and kind.

They're really trying to make it an edge issue in Canada right now.

School kids here had to do some walk outs because some transphobes were being awful.

Every time I see a post about kids learning about trans people, I'm realizing more and more that there are three classes of reactions to learning about trans people:

  • Childlike Innocence: "What!? A boy can become a girl? That's so cool!" (Based)
Grumpy Transphobia (Spoilered):"What? Men are trying to be women? That's biologically impossible and insane!" (Cringe)
  • Mature Affirmation: "Some people strive to align with a gender different than their sex assigned at birth? That's not surprising, considering the complexity of the human being. Also, it's so cool!" (Based)

The trans kids that haven’t figured it out yet have the same reactions but with still cis tho instead

I mean they are talking about how they were made to feel, and how it was a positive experience. They weren't called a fairy, they felt like something unique and different enough akin to a fairy. It's like someone saying they swam naked on a lake in a pale moonlight and it made them feel witchy. Sure, a mysoginist can use the word witch or hag but they have no power in the scene, as described.

I have heard people draw comparison between being transgender and changeling children or demonic possession...

It's true, I'm actually a skin-shell possessed and worn by a demon who hollowed me out bridget-smug

Where are people finding these kids? Almost every child I have the displeasure of teaching is a complete nazi little shit.

It sounds old timey because Jennie June self-referred by the term "fairie", among many other absolutely fossilised weird semi-perjorative queer terms lol

I love it when kids ask me "are you a boy or a girl".

"how am I sposed to explain this to muh child" I don't know maybe ask your 8 year old to explain they understood in 3 seconds
