It looks cool, buuuuuut the figurine is no longer in its original packaging, so the value plummets drastically. My final offer is about three-fiddy.

I LOVE collecting cool little dudes. My sister gave me a tiny frog figure sitting in an armchair reading a book and it nourishes me spiritually when I look at it

''Ancient Mayan astronaut miner seen here wearing a helmet with 2 spotlights powered by a magic crystal battery''

This actually proves the Mayans went to Mars

Am I reading too much into it or is a 1500 year old figurine in a suit and helmet interesting?

I think they are only wearing a helmet, not armor. Mayan sculptures often have helmets of some sort. Usually more ornate than this so maybe this is a depiction of an actual warrior helmet meant for practical use. https://www.livescience.com/archaeology/maya-warrior-statue-with-serpent-helmet-discovered-at-chichen-itza

Til this post I didn’t know people 1500 years ago would have thought about suits and helmets…I’m not saying that they wouldnt have, I’m just wondering what the history is.

Well people definitely did, the Romans for instance. Apparently mesoamericans had cloth body armor similar to European gambesons as well as some leather stuff, but nothing metal

I didn’t put enough thought into what era we were in 1500 years ago. Thank you.

I had a tie fighter that had a tiny pilot that went inside, like an inch tall with movable arms and legs, and he had a tiny helmet the size of a matchhead you could remove. It was my favorite toy and I would spend what felt like hours searching through the carpet for his tiny helmet when I would inevitably lose it.

I can now advocate for my Lego/Transformers collections on grounds of RETVRN.
