Holy shit lmao we might actually get 306-232 a third time in a row.
electoralism
Welcome to c/electoralism! politics isn't just about voting or running for office, but this community is.
Please read the Chapo Code of Conduct and remember...we're all comrades here.
Shitposting in other comms please!
It seems like every election year, without fail, I am exposed to an inordinate amount of liberals who have the nerve to cry foul (toward leftists usually) about not voting/ voting third party
So fucking tired dude
I know this is petty, but if Trump ends up winning I'm going to troll reddit libs for like a solid week about how Putin is now in command of the country.
"It doesn't matter who we vote for in (my state) because of the electoral college" seems to be hitting libs harder than usual this season, lol
Easy to get them on the same page as me again by saying "it's too bad Trump didn't get his head blown off that one time"
Checked r/politics and there was a self-styled centrist scolding the "left" for Kamala's defeat
Evil is real Idk what else to say about this I'm honestly at a loss for words
Figuring out where the highest concentration of hexbears are by what state has the most psl votes
If only libs passed 15 bucks minimum wage, huh. Too bad parliamentarian said no
r/politics speedrunning all stages of grief
Come on guys. Kamala was just a really dogshit candidate, regardless of Trump running or not. It's okay to admit that.
Reporting from MSNBC - NBC just called Pennsylvania for Trump. Rachel Maddow is increasingly stuttering, she's blinking a lot, her eyes are glassy.
EDIT: They pan the shot away from the panel to Trump's empty podium because the state of Rachel, Jen Psaki, and Joy Reid facial expression. No more visual on the state of their faces, just voiceovers.
Back to you, hexbear election megathread
Bluesky libs sure didn't complain about this before the election. I'm not exaggerating that this moment of clarity post made me laugh pretty hard for more than five seconds.
sure doesn't feel like "let's run for the Reasonable Moderate Republican Vote" worked out real well, huh
Thesis: The reason dems are losing ground with POCs isn't because Trump is winning the men over; but because the older non-white generations have over the last 4 years been decimated at a higher relative rate thanks to covid and it's knock-on effects
Would you mind changing the title to US or United states election day? The US is not the Americas, and the US's use of america to refer only to itself and exclude central, south america, and the carribean has a long history that goes back to it's imperial ambitions to create a "greater america".
I kinda hope we have another event as funny as Jan 6
when it happened it was funniest day on the site
At this point dems are putting women out there on purpose to lose so people get this idea that women can’t run anything. I literally can’t think of anything else, how the fuck do you lose the POPULAR VOTE???? THE FUCKING POPULAR VOTE
One of the few funny things that will happen is that Elon Musk will have meltdown if Kamala wins
Everyone here saying she’s cooked but don’t be so quick to judgement. Every state that has been called was obviously going to either trump or Harris. For the more contested states though this race is so neck and neck though that “leading” doesn’t really mean anything when looking at the map. You’ll need to wait until the vast majority of counties, especially the large metro areas, have reported. This is one of the reasons why the chuds all called fraud during 2020 - they saw a nearly all red map early on turn blue by the time they got up the next morning
Any lib who asks why I didn't vote is getting my international adoption/citizenship rant
I can't even open a savings account I do not give a fuck about which genocidal xenophobic warmonger wins
Forgive me for voting for her.
spoiler
jill stein. claudia de la cruz would have had to be a write-in candidate.
Electoral college estimate Trump 270 to 322
WTF there is left to do, make the call, it's over Drumpfboi got 270. Why are you wasting everyone's time
Just voted in new york.
For some reason they were using sharpies, not even fine point ones to fill out rhe ballot.
Could not even kinda of legibly write Claudia De La Cruz in the space. Oh well guess we'll find out if my vote was counted when there's zero votes for her in the county.
roommate voted trump just because the rest of his family would and because he admittedly "[didn't] know anything about politics"
to his credit we're in south carolina so neither his vote or mine for de la cruz mattered
Both teams tried their worst, and we all lost
