The last two decades of war have caused public confidence in the US Army to plummet, with only 60 percent of respondents saying they have confidence in the US military. The Gallup poll statistics are the lowest in over two decades. The US Military personnel were fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq during this period.

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of how much of this is from all of the excellent reasons for this to be true and how much is from 
ranting about that Obama and Biden "depleted" the military
How many of these low confidence respondents are merely upset that we’re not doing imperialism competently enough?
This just means they need to increase the budget by another $500B.
