BECMI ends with Immortals, so the concept of playing extremely powerful characters has always been around. While I'd imagine the vast majority never played with those rules, the same is true for modern D&D. A vanishingly small number of games actually make it to level 20.

I have no doubt he'll wriggle out of this one again because this has been obvious for years, but I do wonder specifically what mental gymnastics the chuds will come up with to rationalize this. Last time it was that he's a "white hat" pedophile, who was out to expose the others, so it'll have to be something even stupider.

Mostly Warframe, also picked up Noita and Total War Three Kingdoms though so got a few hours in each. Noita is... very difficult to figure out. I think I just need to explore more, but I also installed the Spell Lab mod for some help in figuring out the basics and tbh I don't think it helped much lol

I once had windows quarantine the download files, claiming they were viruses. Had to manually add an exception and then it worked fine.

Yes, the official story is that you're supposed to venerate and respect the people who can make money on stocks because they won at gambling.

It's the result of skipping the primary to go all-in on Biden right up until he shat his pants on national television.

Hexbear existed pre-federation as its own little isolated forum that developed a relatively-active userbase with relatively shared ideals. When federation came around, Hexbear was different enough that we couldn't enable it right away and it took much effort from the dev team here to "unfork" us. When federation was finally enabled, our culture clashed with other instances in several major ways:

  1. emojis were bugged and were enormous when viewed on any other instance
  2. our high activity and commonality of opinion made other instances think we were constantly botting or "brigading" (its legacy has been preserved in emoji form: brigading ), when in reality it was simply our users posting as they always have
  3. we have a whitelist of instances, and the mod team demands compliance with certain standards. Of particular note due to the current internet culture, for an instance to remain federated with us, they must not be willing to tolerate transphobia by their own userbase. This is a bar that most instances fail to pass.
  4. we really hate Biden, Harris, and the democrats more broadly for various valid reasons (currently the hot button topic is them carrying out a genocide in occupied Palestine), and libs really hate to hear how the "good guys" are themselves monsters, or seeing "Death to America" regularly.

Really came down to the wire to get this done before pride month was over, but, after many months, I'm finally happy with how it looks! This was supposed to be my "low-effort army", so much for that lmao.

If you click the "Request Invite" button on the storepage, you instantly get one.

Performance is dogshit for me, 30-ish FPS on all lowest settings (with DLSS off). Water doesn't even render.

The whole "disrupting packs with dung bombs" mechanic is also pretty lame imo; every couple minutes the monster leaves to go rejoin the pack and you have to do it again.

Undecided on the wound mechanic because I only did the first two hunts. Optimistically, this could be like the clutch claw but actually good.

So my old wireless Xbox 360 controller is kind of on its last legs, bad stick drift, thumbstick rubber starting to rub off, and I'm looking for a replacement. Would gladly just buy another 360 controller but they haven't made them in years.

Got an 8bitdo Ultimate earlier this year and it has not lasted. Out of the box, the thumbsticks started losing sensitivity in one or two directions after a few hours of play, but I could get around this by messing with the deadzones in the software. Not an ideal solution, since it lowered the resolution, but it worked.

But now it's got new and exciting problems that I can't work around. Sometimes the B button won't register at all. Sometimes the A button will press on its own. And my favorite, sometimes the entire controller just freezes and won't accept any input for seconds at a time.

I had a coworker recommend a GuliKit but the face buttons are backward and that's enough to put me off it.

Any advice?

Honestly doesn't seem like my thing but a neat enough concept that I thought I'd post it here.

Also somebody in the comments mentioned that the itch.io bundle for trans youth earlier this year had this game.

Now to spend the rest of eternity painting them. Going Oops! All Aspect Warriors (plus some warlocks/farseers, purely because the models were cool). Mostly 3rd party, though the Striking Scorpions are GW because they were on sale (though where the FUCK is Karandras, GW)? The minis missing arms are the exarchs, as I'm going to magnetize all their options.

Timed the third party order pretty badly considering I missed the refresh on Swooping Hawks and Fire Dragons by like 2 months lmao. Though that said, the 3rd party models are a bit cheaper (~$100 for 10 Warriors + Exarch + Phoenix Lord, compared to $170 for GW), and it's really easy to repose resin models with a heat gun. Also, while I'm not sure if the other Aspects are/will be the same, I'm not a fan of how the torsos and legs are all locked together for the Scorpions, as it means that both my Exarchs will have identical poses...

Bonus Psychic Space Lenin in the back.

He's smokin' entry plug, he's on that LCL.

He's got 4 knives

Stupid sexy Eva

*sort of, not a gundam but it's a kit by bandai so... sans-shrug

As someone coming at this from 40k, honestly pretty impressed with the kit. All snap-fit, with full articulation? Multi-colored sprues? Hell yeah, let's go. Really need some finer grade sandpaper; I had to make do with just a glass file which is a bit too block for some parts (and doesn't work at all for the metallic parts because it makes them way too shiny).

Only a couple things went wrong during building. The right metallic pectoral cover is loose for some unknown reason (I may have filed down a ball-joint too much?), and the left purple bicep cover doesn't rotate which means the rest of the arm likes to pop off if I'm not careful. There's a noticeable gap on the fingers in the left hand on the first image, and I don't know why since there were no sprue connections ono the surfaces that connect to each other.

Might put on some more of the stickers but the one on the entry plug is already peeling so idk it might be wasted effort. Also the kit came with two spare knuckle covers that I don't see a use for in the instructions.

Full kit name is "RG ARTIFICIAL HUMAN EVANGELION UNIT-01"

Finally finished the whole group! From left to right: Inquisitor Coteaz, Interrogator, Sister of Battle, Scrollboi, Feral Worlder, Mystic, Servitor, Booksy the Book Skull, Joe Krabo, and "Daemonhost".

I'd painted up Coteaz years ago (and it's good I did because his new model sucks lol). Eventually they'll all be based in the same style as Coteaz but the texture paint I use is all dried up.

Close-ups of individual models in comments.

TFW you're halfway through converting and painting a miniature when its rules are removed from the game boohoo. Oh well, now it's a tech priest proxy.

It has parts from 5 minis, bonus points to anyone who can guess them.

It's because we're loud, incredibly active, argumentative, and most importantly we are generally speaking unified. Yes there are differences, but compare the pushback when a hexbear posts something pro-china vs when someone else posts something anti-china. We'll get maybe 2-3 responses, all of which will immediately get dogpiled anyway. They'll get 10 of us. We also all upvote the takes we all agree on, so much so that it looks like vote manipulation. No other group on the fediverse has that type of unity, even if they broadly agree with each other.

Also the giant emojis probably don't help lol.
