It's the 20th anniversary of Persona 3, the best game ever made.
Crazy how time flies~
Reload is good
I've only played Persona 4 Golden and I bounced midway. This was when I was first transitioning and I was extra sensitive to a certain character's storyline which came off as forced detransition to me. Sucks because I really enjoyed it up to that point.
What's your favorite version of P3?
Ahh, I can understand that character's arc feeling weird all things considered.
Persona 4 Revival speculation, no spoilers past where you stopped playing
I'm curious how the dialogue and imagery for Naoto's dungeon will change. Given the slight changes we've seen to Kanji's shadow (now holding male and female symbols), I'm sure it'll be revised at least a bit. The idea behind Naoto's story was to take on misogyny faced in the workforce. I think the bones of that story are good and already present in her story, but the framing of certain parts should be tweaked a bit. The most egregious example being the final floor of the dungeon.Hopefully, the original intent will be more clear in the remake. Fwiw I do like Hashino and his team's writing, but it's not surprising that things got a bit messy when they tried to take on a topic like this lol.
That's a very complicated question
They're all pretty different and good for their own reasons. My recommendation to everyone now is to play Reload, but my favourite will always be the original release (before FES). It was my introduction to MegaTen and got me through some tough times. I don't think it's the version people should start with, but watching some footage recently made me unexpectedly emotional. I'm appreciative of what it did for me.
P4
The added context does change things a bit. I can see how the story was heading that way, at least what I remember, but yeah, it wasn't handled well. Interesting Kanji changes, I'm interested to see where things go with the... remaster? Remake? Not sure what it is exactly lol. I might give it another chance if my PC can handle the remake.I was interested in Reload but I didn't think it'd work on my old pc. Checked the system reqs and it looks like it will actually so I may give it a shot after all! Otherwise I was thinking of the PSP version so I could play as the girl but I know they made some sacrifices to get it in there.
Really awesome that the game helped you out like that! I love how powerful media can be when it enters your life at just the right time.
