this is an opinion i see a lot that really surprises me. LFG took massive amounts of central game content from literally not possible for a lot of people to pretty easily accessible. if you're someone who can't speak in video games (socially anxious, ESL, 10 year old girl with good internet sense lol) LFG reaaally revolutionised the game and is the only thing that opened up instances/raids. i never would have seen massive sections of the game otherwise

i think the issue may be allowing tumblr to send you emails. i only get them when someone sends me an ask. install an adblock and xkit on firefox and you can cut out any other bullshit you don't like

i assume it would be like tumblr, where you see exclusively posts from people you actively followed on purpose, you see them in order of posting, and once you're caught up to yesterday you're done. i really REALLY don't understand social media that doesn't work like that 😭

also all the torrenting being replaced by streaming lenin-rage

i agree on the behind! extension, but that doesn't work on stuff like instagram that iirc won't even let you right click in the first place. combined with the allow right click extension you will become unstoppable

genuinely flabbergasted this isn't loss. where's loss....... is it possible for an image online to include figures but not be loss? surely not

WHERE are they pretending to get this information from? you can't just unquestionably shout unsourced shit with the justification 'idk lol vibes' and expect anyone to listen to you

hiiiiii communists who live in my pc, do any of you know how to cook?

i don't. at all. a few days ago my roommate taught me how to scramble an egg, and i had never had broccoli or cauliflower or (most other vegetables 🙃) until he let me try some of his, so that's approximately where i'm at with food knowledge. given that i'm clueless and live with several people in a completely open plan house, i try to avoid cooking anyway because i'm constantly being watched in the kitchen and people are making their little comments. BUT work is sending me traveling so i have a kitchen all to myself for 2 weeks and an affordable supermarket about 10 minutes walk away. i plan to use this time to try to learn a bit <3

the only problem is that i have absolutely no clue where to start. i can make rice and boil pasta and that's about it. do any of you have recipes that are accessible for a noob and will help me grind my skill up? gamer-gulag or any idea of places online for my situation?

i have no dietary restrictions and i'm open to trying pretty much anything once. i'm just confused and every recipe i click on online seems to be some artisan shit that needs 2 hours and tools and ingredients i've never heard of

they all seem so fucking useless. only the sinn féin/SNP seem even vaguely based and i can't vote for them.

on the "left" in my area we have a candidate for labour, green, lib dem, social democratic party, and the worker's party. ngl i didn't know those last two even existed.

i was going to vote workers party, because they're ostensibly socialists and they're the only party that's loud about supporting Palestine, but apparently they have some sus views on lgbt people and climate change :doomjak:

so then what? the soc dems and greens seem pretty limp, the lib dems are liberals (and fucked their entire voter base last time they were in lmao), and labour are fucking open blairites now. honestly at this point i'm back around to feeling like, since they'll never get any power anyway, the most impactful thing i can do is to vote for the worker's party anyway just to send a message on palestine ukkk isntrael

UK comrades, who are you voting for? (or are you not voting?)

I've never touched SQL but some friends said that its a language you can basically learn in an afternoon, so I put it on my CV and applied to some jobs that say they want SQL lol. But now I've actually gotten an interview and I'd like to not get caught out as bullshitting - is it as easy as my friends say and do any of yall have some good resources about learning/using it? In the past I've had pdfs that take you from nothing to profiecency in a language and I'd love something similar, but now that I've graduated I don't have access to stuff like that anymore. I have a shittonne of experience in python if that helps (although at a glance nothing i'm seeing online looks much like python, but i'm told that you can implement it through python or something?)

Most stuff I can find quickly either try to make you pay for it or they're videos instead of text and that doesn't really play well with the adhd. Do you guys have anything? Thanks for the help scamming a corporation comrades meow-hug

like i know these people are technically meant to be our allies because they don't own the means of production, but how the fuck do you spend more than my family's annual income on fast food? how are we meant to find common ground with people who are able and happy to do this? visible-disgust

edit: turns out this is a repost. sorry. but still, i standby my disgust
