Why do you think baby Hitler grew up to be evil? People kept showing up from the future to kill him.
Giving covid to the native American people so Europeans would die when they arrived is a strong move though.

But why are you just killing Hitler? Why are you not waging a Protacted People's Time War against the third riech and its capitalist enablers?

Killing baby Hitler was aways too pedestrian
Now kidnapping baby Hitler and dropping him off at a Russian orphanage is far more poetic
I can’t believe people are so heartless that they’d kill baby Hitler who had never done anything wrong.
Which is why I going back to moment that Hitler turned 18 so I can kill adult Hitler.
I'd kill adult Hitler before he does any real political organizing
Slavic Hitler isn't real. Slavic Hitler can't harm you...
This is exactly why I think that if time travel ever becomes a real thing, it will only work one way and you'll be stuck in the period you went to with no way back
There is no "future", just a constant stream of the present and the past we leave behind
You go back and change things, you gotta live through it
Isn't ftl travel time traveling? I'm not a science guy
To the future not to the past.
Gotcha
As an accredited Scientician, I can affirm that I am always correct about everything
you mean i get to kill hitler and get to cease to exist? sign me the fuck up

I would settle for killing baby Trump
You can go back and kill adult Hitler in his shitty bunker. That wouldn't disturb the timeline too much.
Unless someone has already done that.

Just imagine it's like a carnival event with a line to do it
In the Dark Tower, in book 7, Jake is trying to find Susannah under the Dixie Pig, in some kind of underground vault. He sees a sign of some sort on the window of a kiosk which says: "Visit September 11th 2001! Tix still available for this wonderful event! Asthmatics Prohibited w/o Dr's certificate."
somebody set up a cloning machine so you can all shoot hitler
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
whoever goes back in time to kill hitler will almost certainly cease to exist when a grandfather doesn’t fight overseas or get displaced to a new country where they met the grandmother.
what?
Hey describing time paradoxes is hard!
I mean to say that as of 2026 it's likely that most living people have an ancestor that was born as a direct result of ww2. So if you go back in time, kill hitler, and prevent ww2, basically nobody who exists now would have been born because ww2 directly led to their parents or grandparents or even great grandparents being born.
I can only see that if like my mother's grandmother could have other family with a person who died/fled/traveled because of ww2 so my family wouldn't exists but putting like the post seems like everyone has at least someone in their lineage who participated in ww2.
furthermore, do we invent ultrasound technology in time to save your mom's life in childbirth if we don't spend all that effort improving sonor and radios for ww2 purposes?
I'm pretty sure the butterfly effect also applies to the recursive nature of time travel, with each iteration changing the circumstances of the new continuity's time traveling in succession ad infinitum.
When you're right you're right
Why kill baby Hitler? Kill annoying teenaged Hitler. Better yet, occupy his friend's wife for long enough that she doesn't get there in time to prevent him from killing himself.
Personally I would choose Gustav Noske, before the deaths of Rosa and Karl.
Pin the incident on the Nazis
Better argument then "the nazis would rise anyway with a more competent leader" something I'm very skeptical of. Sure there were extreme material problems with the Weimer Republic but the Nazi's before hitler weren't what they would become I could see it going a bunch of ways. The Weimer could suvive and reform or toddle along, a communist revolution, a fascist one but more a Mussolini copycat then the nazis or the generals take defacto control and form a military dominated state. Without Hitler and his oratory and direction I don't see the nazi's rising in a reconizable form.
I'm pretty sure that even without Hitler the proto-Nazi party was already way more racist than Mussolini was before Mussolini got even more racist to pander to the Nazis, etc., and there were lots of others who were interested in the narratives about Aryans and so on, plus the existing antisemitism movements and the rest of it.
The real issue is that of Hitler had such a big divide with the other leadership, it's very unlikely that he would have gotten in charge and stayed in charge, even if whoever the alternate timeliness Hitler is would not have been literally identical.
Synthesis: go back in time and, using your knowledge of past and future, espouse viewpoints so esoterically racist that Hitler and Mussolini both have to pander to you, but keep switching things up and getting more obtuse with it so that both parties are defanged by constant infighting and splitting before gaining any real power. We can only defeat fascism with leftism's true superpower, obviously.
Instead of killing baby Hitler I'd go to just after the war ended and give Stalin everything he needs to avoid the collapse of the USSR and fight back against the capitalist West.
