UAW's President has called for unions across the country to negotiate their contracts to end on May 1st, 2028. That's the extent of the organizing I've heard of.

Outside of May Day 2028 no. PSL was agitating for it, and there's some "general strike card" thing that went around on Instagram that a few hundred thousand people signed.

I saw that NYC is having a "no kings" type protest on Sunday, not sure if other cities will but the last NKD was the day the mayor of Chicago called for one. It might be an idea that is gaining traction among the masses but nothing concrete.

The 2028 one isn't really a general strike, but many large unions intentionally had their contracts end on that date so they would all be striking together. So that's the only really large thing close to a general strike that has actual plans and organization around it.

Like kinda, but it depends on orgs like and others getting a lot bigger a lot faster than we currently are. Getting involved in mutual aid is helpful we'll need that and ideally trying to build bridges between radical orgs so we can combine our efforts into a cohesive movement.

There are good groups everywhere if you take the time to look. Don't argue with me that everyone around you is a chud, cuz that should include you too. I've lived in supposedly deep red counties even dry ones, there are always opportunities to organize if you take the time to talk to people.

Also just adding this, I was at a PSL event and they are organizing a mass day of action for 1/20, asking people to call off work / walk out of school and stuff, they aren't calling it a strike though

PSL is, in a coalition with some other groups. I think they want a general strike in 2028.

I think it's a very silly thing for them to put such a huge degree of emphasis on a distant and very uncertain prospect rather than more concrete and achievable goals.
