Just got banned on Reddit for posting that I stand in solidarity with the Venezuelan people.

Viva chavismo. Viva la bolivarian revolucion

Viva Venezuela

May they kill a thousand Yankees for every one of their own.

May the people be victorious in their defense against the American empire.

r*ddit is so bad these days. Was that world news?

[-] Bartsbigbugbag@lemmy.ml 39 points 3 months ago

No, tankie deprogram. I’ve gotten a few warnings lately for being too spicy, and I imagine they’ve got their AI monitoring cranked up on that sub. No real big loss. I need a break from it anyway. That site is frustrating.

The US is such an evil country, and sometimes I can only hope history remembers it as a racist warmonger country responsible for so much suffering.

[-] Mindfury@hexbear.net 60 points 3 months ago

more 9/11s are entirely justified

[-] OrionsMask@hexbear.net 30 points 3 months ago

A 9/11 every fucking day until the end of time is justified

[-] ClimateStalin@hexbear.net 17 points 3 months ago

Well now there’s several million people and a decent sized military on our doorstep who want more 9/11s to happen so it’s becoming more likely every day

[-] Grapho@lemmy.ml 6 points 3 months ago

So it's not all bad news

[-] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 56 points 3 months ago

The US military is truly disgusting

[-] PM_ME_VINTAGE_30S@lemmy.sdf.org 44 points 3 months ago

[-] Thordros@hexbear.net 27 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

The big version is warranted today. Like the Hexbeares of olde, we must use the ancient majicks (giant emojis) in time of great need.

[-] Mindfury@hexbear.net 9 points 3 months ago

we need a DPRK soldier incident, but on the US and in real life

US Officials told CBS News that Trump ordered the attacks on Venezuela. They told CBS that Trump originally wanted the attack to happen on Christmas day.

https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/venezuela-us-military-strikes-maduro-trump/

[-] dead@hexbear.net 48 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Something to notice is that Trump waited until the Friday night after Christmas to do the attack. Trump always does unpopular things when the stock market is closed. The US bombed Nigeria on Christmas. The US bombed Iran on a Saturday. Most of the tariffs have been announced on Fridays after the market closed.

[-] DivineChaos100@hexbear.net 15 points 3 months ago

Yeah noticed the same, probably gonna be a fun monday on wall street

[-] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 27 points 3 months ago

Not to sound like a lib going on about checks and balances, but can the president just do that? Just order bombings of sovereign states? I thought you either had to do some finagling like Obama did with his drone strikes, or you have to get approval from Congress?
I know he'll wiggle out, but it's kind of wild

[-] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 22 points 3 months ago

That drunken son-of-a-shitpile Hegseth does whatever Trump tells him, so i'm not surprised

[-] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 11 points 3 months ago

I'm not surprised either, but I am uhhh flabbergasted? Flummoxed?

[-] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 11 points 3 months ago

he has two days to bring it to congress, and the stephen miller types would argue the war powers act is unconstitutional

[-] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 16 points 3 months ago

Neat that you can get retroactive approval. Deeply serious country

[-] MayoPete@hexbear.net 1 points 3 months ago

The constitution is complete garbage not even good enough to wipe my ass with

[-] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 10 points 3 months ago

but can the president just do that?

yes

[-] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 9 points 3 months ago

I know, I prefaced this with an acknowledgement that it is pretty libbed out to think otherwise. I was asking about the legal side, even though it doesn't really matter

[-] T34_69@hexbear.net 15 points 3 months ago

Nice they were too busy bombing the one oil rich nation to bomb the other one at the same time

DTA amerikkka

[-] daniyeg@hexbear.net 53 points 3 months ago

#COMMUNIQUE | The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects, condemns, and denounces before the international community the extremely serious military aggression perpetrated by the current Government of the United States of America against Venezuelan territory and population in the civilian and military areas of the city of Caracas, the capital of the Republic, and the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira. This act constitutes a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter, especially Articles 1 and 2, which enshrine respect for sovereignty, the legal equality of States, and the prohibition of the use of force. Such aggression threatens international peace and stability, specifically in Latin America and the Caribbean, and places the lives of millions of people at grave risk.

The objective of this attack is none other than to seize Venezuela's strategic resources, particularly its oil and minerals, attempting to forcibly break the nation's political independence. They will not succeed. After more than two hundred years of independence, the people and their legitimate Government remain firm in defending their sovereignty and the inalienable right to decide their own destiny. The attempt to impose a colonial war to destroy the republican form of government and force a "regime change," in alliance with the fascist oligarchy, will fail, as all previous attempts have failed.

Since 1811, Venezuela has faced and defeated empires. When in 1902 foreign powers bombed our coasts, President Cipriano Castro proclaimed: "The insolent foot of the foreigner has profaned the sacred soil of the Homeland." Today, with the moral strength of Bolívar, Miranda, and our liberators, the Venezuelan people rise again to defend their independence against imperial aggression. People to the streets!

The Bolivarian Government calls on all social and political forces in the country to activate mobilization plans and repudiate this imperialist attack. The people of Venezuela and their Bolivarian National Armed Forces, in perfect popular-military-police unity, are deployed to guarantee sovereignty and peace. Simultaneously, the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace will file the corresponding complaints before the UN Security Council, the Secretary-General of that organization, CELAC, and the Non-Aligned Movement, demanding condemnation and accountability from the U.S. government.

President Nicolás Maduro has ordered all national defense plans to be implemented at the appropriate time and under the appropriate circumstances, in strict accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Organic Law on States of Exception, and the Organic Law on National Security.

In this regard, President Nicolás Maduro has signed and ordered the implementation of the Decree declaring a state of external emergency throughout the national territory, to protect the rights of the population, the full functioning of republican institutions, and to immediately engage in armed resistance. The entire country must mobilize to defeat this imperialist aggression.

He has also ordered the immediate deployment of the Command for the Comprehensive Defense of the Nation and the Management Bodies for Comprehensive Defense in all states and municipalities of the country.

In strict adherence to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, Venezuela reserves the right to exercise its legitimate right of self-defense to protect its people, its territory, and its independence. We call upon the peoples and governments of Latin America, the Caribbean, and the world to mobilize in active solidarity against this imperialist aggression.

As Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez Frías stated, "faced with any circumstances of new difficulties, however great they may be, the response of all patriots...is unity, struggle, battle, and victory."

Telesur changed the tweet after I screenshotted it. It was a block of text and they changed it to 3 images. I'm not sure if they changed anything. It looks the same or very similar.

I put the new images into google translate.

Also anyone who supports the U.S. bombing Venezuela should be turned into pet food.

If the United States is allowed to continue existing indefinitely, then the world deserves to be destroyed, just to ensure that the United States can never exist in any capacity.
