I work at a bakery and teach German classes (in Germany). One of my students came in the other day and I made her a sandwich to order, which I felt 100% normal about, but my bakery manager felt awkward about. The student seemed to feel a little weird too, but she ordered it, lol.

I worked customer service at Kmart for a few years and encountered a lot of old classmates. Fortunately I had lost a bunch of weight since I had last seen them, and all of my hair fell out, so nobody knew who I was. I could tell some people thought I was maybe familiar, but I was never identified outright. I felt like a secret agent.

Working retail and other shit jobs are only embarassing because the elite have convinced you that they are not worthy of respect.
