A reminder that Fox News was/is actively against Mister Rogers and everything he stood for.
Well some of their Cult Members think Jesus was "woke." I'm not kidding.
I mean, he probably was if we go by what he supposedly stood for. But actually tending to that dichotomy with their shitty world view tends to break their brains.

But they don't like that. They want Viking Jesus.
With the news of younger generations (around the world even) aligning themselves with right wing thinking, I wouldn't be surprised if these icons aren't all labeled as some kind of wimps. To be dunked on all day without really knowing what they're talking about let alone a solution for the things these programs tackled. And, they're letting the worst people destroy it all (some of them are literal rapists)!
That's exactly what's happened. Right Wing grifters on YouTube, like Shapiro, Walsh, Crowder, Rogan, etc., aren't a coincidence, and didn't happen naturally. They were all corrupted by billionaire funded "Think Tanks."
Wasn't Mr. Roger's a green beret in Vietnam though? Wouldn't these people idolize that aspect of him?
Apparently that's a debunked myth. Besides, he was born in 1928 which would have made him old for that war.
None of these things would matter though. A common thread simply seems to be a hatred toward empathy and those who espouse it. These were kind people and worthy causes. Primed to be destroy by these goons.

He registered for the draft just after WW2, then after a physical was deemed unqualified for service. He graduated college a few years later.
From the start of Vietnam to the end, he was working on a children's show in Pittsburgh, making a show up in Canada that was the precursor to mister Rogers neighborhood, then from 1968 for the next 33 years he was in/running mists Rogers neighborhood.
...he did emerge victorious from the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny, though...

I hope Sesame Street just goes all in, owns this, and has Bert and Ernie get married already. They haven't done a wedding since Maria and Luis in the 80s and we all know those two are banging.

Nice! I've done one-offs for like $60/each every so often but finally just set it to recurring. May bump it up at some point, though.
My local NPR station was saying 8% in their most recent funding campaign.
The percentage varies among local stations. In Santa Monica there's probably more local support than in an Oklahoma town.
Won't matter, they'll just have the FCC revoke the broadcast licenses after a while.
In all sincerity, please, the doomerism is unproductive. Especially in direct response to someone trying to help fund a public institution that’s losing funding. If you’re feeling despair from the horrors (which, understandable) it’s important to do what you can to get support from your friends and community. Trying to convince other people to not resist by saying it’s worthless is the worst thing to do right now.
Way to contribute productive discourse to the comment actually doing something and proving they put their money where their mouth is.
Gotta love how easy it is to do this while it’s so fucking hard to preserve integrity…and there is very much a fuck you in there as it needs to be…
An official Whitehouse.gov page came up on my news feed for some reason saying how it's a grift they won't tolerate any longer.
I reported it as misinformation and hate speech.
Quick search shows me NPR at 1% from federal government and PBS 13%

If this goes through, public broadcasting is going to get FLOODED with donations from viewers like you.
Everyone should also download the PBS app and subscribe to PBS YouTube channels like PBS Terra That would at least help them financially indirectly. At least help them with exposure in the modern media distribution environment
