The funny thing about that bot is that it makes posting youtube links better than any of the mirrors because then the bot comes along and posts more mirrors than you could've fit in the initial post.

That's how I feel too.
I post YouTube links for that reason and let the bot take care of it. I've personally stopped trying to use mirrors because half the time they dont work for me, the instance is down, YouTube did some update to break apps again, etc.
My conspiracy theory is that the bot exists solely to bump up post counts. It's very successful at that and not much else.
I like keeping my algorithm away from pretty much everything so I like having the opportunity to try getting one of the mirrors to work
