MODERATORS

put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!

from @[email protected]:

For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.

I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.

No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!

You love to see it

Liberal family said people need time to mourn. I said fuck that shit, if you couldn't expect the outcome then you're not informed enough. They said it's good to have optimism. I said it's delusion. Maybe I'm being too harsh but their reactions feel so performative

Kamala lost because of that damn squirrel

It never ceases to amaze me just how unbelievably incoherent the political opinions are of like 95% of this country. It really is on full display right now. Social media is unbearable. Left leaning people from all walks of my life who I thought would at the very least have to see past a little bit of Kamala and the Dem’s bullshit, just a liiiittle bit, are like no “the choice was between a queen and a monster and y’all chose monster” etc. Almost every person in my life has no genuine understanding of what it is they are experiencing or talking about. No curiosity to try to unpack anything. Critique and evaluate the information they are presented with. And honestly worst of all is that everyone is still, STILL, AFTER YEARS OF THIS CONSTANT CONFLICTING SHIT, at their deepest level, above all patriotic to this country. It’s lazy, pathetic, immoral, and deeply embarrassing. 95% of 330 million people, just outright propagandized zombie narcissists who have no fucking clue what they’re saying

Liberals on multiple occasions have quoted Malcolm X on social media in relation to pro-Kamala sentiments or disheartenment about her loss, and it's enraging me how many don't recognize the irony. Some of these libshits are white, and that makes it doubly ironic, but this particular post is by a black woman:

Today, I have no words—only tears. Tomorrow, I’ll find some. The next day, I fight.

It's this kind of shit that's prompted me to say what I said in the pinned c/agitprop thread.

Closed my social media tabs and contained myself to Hexbear yesterday after I saw the first Malcolm X quote posted by a fellow white.

Liberals coming to terms with bidens legacy going to shit. All the good they think he did will be torn by trump. Their parasocial relationship with this fart had them call him the most progressive president but all he'll be remembered for was being at the helm of a genocide and his brain turning to mush while epstein buddy felon took over.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 55 minutes ago

He was Trump's lunch break.

Fun picture of Jill Stein, Vijay Prashad and Claudia De La Cruz together from this wsws article: https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2024/11/06/tgdo-n06.html

[–] [email protected] 18 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

And the article itself is exactly as dogshit as you'd expect from wsws lol

[–] [email protected] 11 points 6 hours ago

Yeah I like the picture though.

Maddow always has such a fucking weird, "I'm saying the most serious thing in the world right now, and you'd better be paying attention," manner. The way she always decrescendos and then leaves a brief pause at the end of every sentence. Very annoying. You aren't as serious as you think you are, lib.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 17 minutes ago* (last edited 13 minutes ago)

if you say anything with the right cadence, at least some libs will believe it's the most profound thing ever stated. Obama brainrot

e.g. something totally meaningless like "in the United States of America, we not only honour our values... we value our honour. that's. what. it's. all. about."

listening to Harris' conceding speech, and really 95% of speeches by Democrats in general, it was full of that kind of idealistic pseudo-profound nonsense that makes you feel vaguely inspired for a second before you remember that it's literally meaningless drivel and that these are the same people who send billions to Israel every year to mass murder Palestinians

[–] [email protected] 4 points 39 minutes ago

She's just the lib version of Tucker Carlson.

Damn this is crazy Democrats should totally storm the Capitol about it in a couple of months or so

Cool. I was the lone vote for Claudia De La Cruz in my county.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 7 hours ago

Where can I see breakdowns by county with full third party coverage?
