It's a cake, it's in the name.

And if that isn't convincing enough, they go hard when stale, like cake. Biscuits go soft.

The only acceptable "biscuit"

Everything else is anglo revisionism (except bikkies, you get a pass if you create a new word)

That's almond bread, not a biscuit.

biscuit

ukkk

But seriously desserts that can't decide between cake and cookie are gross. Disturbing texture

(Just want to throw this out in case it's unclear, death to Amerikkka)

It's a cookie. Cookies can have filling and cookies can have a glaze. Cake is something way more substantial, and biscuits are a special case of cookies.

I have never eaten a jaffa cake but will say biscuit to annoy the Americans who call something totally unrelated "biscuits"

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago

"This is all your fault Jaffar! We could have Jaffa cakes at a lower price without VAT if you only used less shortening in the batter."

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 months ago

It's a cake. It's made of sponge. There is no debate. This has been ratified in court.
