Since his movie-star days, the 5-metre salty resided at a Darwin aquarium, where he also gained fame as a psychic by predicting elections.

Staff at Crocosaurus Cove say he spent nearly two decades helping educate tourists about his "majestic" species.

"To cool everyone’s jets, you will be getting your slop back,"

The slop was only the catalyst. The issue quickly became that mod statement misgendering much of the site(and having an un-CWed self harm reference), harassment against people who were against it, and the fact that other lemmy mods got told before we did. Is there any plan to address those issues?

Edit:

Or just ban people for opposing it I guess

I know I'm just a .ml loser who can't even see the dunk tank because the .ml admins are whiny little baby people, but I think this is a very bad idea. (The closing them part, not the name change)

Hexbear is a reddit clone, not the vanguard party. The not-serious vibe is what makes Hexbear useful, because it can be shown as a replacement to liberal social media. Having a place to point and laugh at reactionaries helps with that purpose since most people never really see that criticism on other websites.

Also: If you remove the low effort posting places, people won't increase their effort, they'll just stop posting. This will damage the site.

Remember when people said that microplastics would be our generations leaded petrol?

Actually it's worse because we're refusing to do anything about it. Extremely normal planet.

I'm watching A(ustralian)BC coverage of it and there's a vibe of "he's actually going to lose to Trump." He's failed to pass the bar of "looking functional" and has actually managed to look bad vs a guy who literally just made shit up and started rambling about golf.

Incredible reality TV.

I'm glad they included a fire emoji after "self-imolated" I wasn't sure if that involved fire or not

So do people just not understand that temperature tolerance is a limited thing based on your climate and any deviations can feel significant?
