There's almost a perfect correlation between how readily a person refers to their car with female pronouns with how much they will resist using them for a trans woman.

Considering the number of jalopies I see in the city with anime decals all over them, I'm pretty sure there's people who basically combine their waifu and their car into one. So a helicopter wouldn't be that much of a stretch.
