Yeah they're breaking like 10 different rules to get their candidate to win. The only places Israel performed poorly in is the countries where you need to show your ID card to get a sim card.

Almost got my master's degree in compsci, now how do I practically find a job? How do I find all the job postings and then also apply to all of them and maximize my chances of finding a job? I went and manually looked through all the linkedin jobs in one city that seem relevant, but manually applying and writing cover letters for 100+ different jobs is gonna take forever

From "From Yao to Mao: 5000 Years of Chinese History by Kenneth J. Hammond". You can watch all of it on tankietube. Would love someone to discuss the series with. I have a few other "funny" clips from this series if people are interested.

I can't find any example of this. I'm thinking of like, a city besieged on land and on sea, and the defenders of the besieged city sending out an early attack against the naval blockade surrounding the city. Is there anything like that?

So Sorties are a thing on land because the attackers need some time to set up their defenses and build siege weapons and they're vulnerable during that time, but I don't think there's anything analogous on the sea.

And I don't want any cop-out answers like "Oh these guys are pacifists cause they make others do the fighting for them", I mean a genuine faction of people with power, who reject war, even when it's convenient for them to do war, and even when going to war would be considered the right thing to do by the masses, out of a genuine principle of pacifism. How do you make those people seem like a convincing faction?

and by "delicate diplomacy", they mean commiting genocide, flattening cities, and providing people with the gift of everlasting birth defects for generations to come.

This doesn't make top 10, but maybe it makes top 100? Marina Ginestà on top of the Hotel Colón, socialist fighter in the spanish civil war.

It'd only be praxis if we use the meeting for something productive. Like performing the most offensive Sopranos roleplay we're capable of.

Most casual history youtubers I watch can't go 20 minutes without making sinophobic "jokes". Anyone have better recommendations for learning pre-modern chinese history, everything from culture, monarchs, etc. of China that doesn't include liberal ideology or racism? Thanks!

Welcome to the weekly/biweekly/monthly (TBD) Magic The Gathering thread. Discuss a 30+ year old mega-commercialized hyperaddictive card game with us!

Thread Question 1: What formats are you playing? What are your favourite decks to play in these formats?
Thread Question 2: What is your favourite non-infinite, non-immediately-guaranteed-winning combo to play in magic?

Comm to talk about magic the gathering. I formed a discord server for hexbears to talk magic before, but some people prefer matrix, and we're generally too different in timezones for a discord to be appropriate. I would like to discuss the game and share resources for playing the game cheaply/for free.

I should have enough time to mod this myself.

We already have a group of semi-intelligent four-limbed upright-walking baddies you can mindlessly slaughter, they're called undead. Works great too because the undead masses generally don't have free will. Replace undead with robots for a sci-fi setting.
If you're killing and plundering sapient (is that the right word?) creatures for no good reason, you're the baddies.
