its my understanding that the war droids have a number of servers broadcasting to each unit, so the 'mind' of a droid is never destroyed. all the war droids have big antennas and stuff, if they ever lose connection they just stop working
That was before/during Episode 1, hence why Anakin blowing up the droid control ship shut down all the droids on the planet.
After that the CIS "fixed" the problem by also giving the droids a rudimentary local intelligence. Can't remember if they still take orders from a central source in optimal conditions, but yeah...

Wait what? They do? Cause it's demonstrably proven in the films and clone wars tv series that to communicate orders in battle they do so verbally. Which also makes that communication thing anakin blows up seem odd. Actually yeah, come to think of it mid post. It's both. Star Wars is silly as hell.
Droids are guys. Even the battle droids show clear signs of being guys. Star Wars droids are Futurama robots.
Roberto the stabby robot would have made a fantastic assassin droid. In fact, someone should make a mod for the games that adds his voice lines

A lot of members were corporations, the trade federation did the Naboo thing cause they were pissed that a law was passed making the outer rim no longer an unregulated free trade zone and went full ancap insurgent. It's a mix of planets coming in their as well, but the fenersl vibe of the organization is libertarian as hell. The motivation of the trade federation really really should have been in the phantom meanie. I observe star wars and its fans like Diane Fossy or Jane Goodall with Gorillas except they double as the poachers that will kill me. But yeah, the Clone Wars politically is basically is Joe Biden and Donald Trump genuinely started an all out civil war
