So many people out there who vote without knowing a goddamn thing other than name
My wife used to work with this woman that dutifully voted for her state legislator for years. One day, she went to an event that he was at and she thought, “Huh, he looks way too young given how long he’s been in office.”
Yeah, turned out said legislator had retired years ago and his son took over the seat. She had been voting for the son for years and didn’t know it.
House of Lords but it's just failsons winning elections because nobody pays attention
When your state legislator is just three LLCs in a trenchcoat, it turns out they can achieve immortality after all.
If you consider the coherency of a typical person's political ideology (none, for many USians), then all elections can be is a popularity contest.
