I think I'm gonna go with not needing sleep, like I'm just perpetually well-rested even if I haven't had any shuteye in eight years, and all the physiological and psychological effects of sleep deprivation are gone.

I think this power would ideally include the ability to fall asleep on command just to pass time, though, and not needing to see natural sunlight to stay mentally well, otherwise it would probably just be torture.

Probably something flashy like being a flying brick (heh), or telepathy/telekinesis (obviously too different powers but very often bundled together).

But Cypher’s ability to understand and speak all languages (including body and coding) would be pretty, just travelling talking to people. Also working to preserve dying languages etc. Also would combine well with shape shifting too I guess for infiltration.

gravitational stuff. i guess it would let me fly, but mainly i just wanna float in a position that's maximally comfortable for my sore body, and casually place my laptop and drink and stuff in the air beside me.

Does shapeshifting include into inorganic materials? If not, I'd want moddable / interchangable cybernetic limbs.

Otherwise, I'd want that thing that... I think it's Taskmaster that does it? Being able to replicate technique just by observing it.

A nonstandard power that I've often thought about having though is an 8th day of the week. It exists for nobody else but me and the people I let into it. Everyone else ceases to exist for the duration, but I'd be able to interact with anything I want in the world as I please. I'd be able to pull off alot of crazy shit.

One of these days I'm gonna run a worm ttrpg for my friends (as in the really long web serial worm by noted homophobe wildbow), I'm definitely gonna have a self insert character who's a tinker that only works with tech other people have kind of abandoned or moved past. Like, instead of usb ports, all her shit connects with scsi and vga, her networks all use token ring, prolly owns a lisp machine, has her own versions of dos and os/2. That kind of shit.
