fwiw, my understanding is that, while the risk of developing one is higher in those who smoke, it should still be low enough to be within what's reasonable as far as potentially dangerous side effects go. i mean, don't get me wrong, i was nevertheless super paranoid about it for the first lil while, until my much more knowledgeable partner assured me i'm not gonna kick it suddenly
seems to me like it may have been a case of something that's technically true being blown out of proportion for pear clutching purposes
anyway been on hrt for 6 or 7 months now i guess & never smoked as much as i do now lol. like the kinda meds i've had to be on half my life always come with a plethora of statistically more likely messed up side effects & funnily enough no one was ever concerned about any of that
