I'm almost done with a durge run romancing ascended astarion and I have very conflicted feelings about it. His "good" route is sweet though.
Sure, I gave it a try. Yeah, I heard he's had a bad start, okay he thought we were mindflayer servants or whatever - but then he eats your blood (no consent) and I think he can still just straight up kill you if you fail a persuasion check.

astarion is best boy imo, not that the competition is super great. I found his good ending to be probably the most emotionally resonant scene in the game, really hit me hard.
