I feel like d*scord doesn't really notify me when i get a message so i end responding hours later and worrying that the other person thinks i was being rude
I really don't like this thing where if you don't respond fairly immediately it's seen as blowing someone off. Cmon, sometimes life happens, we shouldn't always be immediately available or else it's a social faux pas of some kind. I wish we could wear badges or something to say "yes you must text me back RIGHT NOW" or "take your time and I'll take my time" so we could just know what's expected
The whole expectation to text back immediately I think makes me less likely to text back at all, just because it's so anxiety-inducing for me.
Remembering when people would leave messages to get called back maybe.

If matrix had good vc support and screen sharing utilities so i can stream movies for a group watch then i'd transfer fully to matrix but alas.
