Like, if its collapsed, do I file? Do I even have to?

I am most certainly going to pay my state tax, but then what? What about stuff like my social security funds?

(I am asking for others because we're at that point now I suppose)

The Chinese government is maintaining severe restrictions, conditions, and controls on Uyghurs who seek to travel abroad in violation of their internationally protected right to leave the country, Human Right Watch said today. The government has permitted Uyghurs in the diaspora to make restricted visits to Xinjiang, but with the apparent aim of presenting a public image of normalcy in the region.

Since the start of the Chinese government’s abusive Strike Hard Campaign in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in 2016, Chinese authorities have arbitrarily confiscated passports of Uyghurs in the region and imprisoned Uyghurs for contacting people abroad. While the authorities are now allowing some Uyghurs to apply for or are returning passports for travel internationally, they exert tight control over those who travel.

“The modest thaw in China’s travel restrictions has allowed some Uyghurs to briefly reunite with loved ones abroad after having no news for years, but the Chinese government’s travel restrictions are still used to oppress Uyghurs in Xinjiang and in the diaspora,” said Yalkun Uluyol, China researcher at Human Rights Watch. “The Chinese government continues to deny Uyghurs their right to leave the country, restrict their speech and associations when abroad, and punish them for having foreign ties.”

Anhedonia means difficulty in feeling joy or happiness, and is a common condition in depression.

And no, this isn't some more "mindfulness" tips. I agree with the author of this article that cultivating the ability to enjoy things is a skill, and skills develop with practice. Like most skills, it is hard at first.

But yeah. I just wanted to share this article, in hopes it might help anyone slightly.

obviously this is just an article and mental health especially depression these days is an affect of our material conditions being very hard and as such, for many people true relief is something beyond reading articles or getting therapy. beyond political activities or mutual aid (the latter of which I'm presently unable to contribute), I wish I could help more towards this end. Anyway, I hope we can all make it through to better days.

So today El Salvadore announced that Bitcoin is not going to be legal tender anymore. They are doing as a condition for an IMF loan they want. I was gonna post that story but then I came across this, the dashboard for the National Bitcoin Office (maybe this permutation of words never be used again) of El Salvadore.

I don't really the knowledge to critique their policy on Bitcoin but this is morbidly interesting.
