Genuinely surprised something like this could happen with how much boot-licking you see from these communities. Genuinely, I used to do DoorDash and their subreddit was just full of people licking that boot all day whenever they would cut pay "Well you made a choice to be a contractor, Thats why I'm doing this" was Something I heard frequently. I do not miss those times.

the app is called Co-op Colorado.
the website for the co-op is https://www.coloradodrivers.coop/
it is developed by https://driver.systems/
Thank you! I’ll check it out and spread the word. We need more of this sort of thing.
This is amazing and I'd love to see this in my community!
Bengaluru, India, set up something similar. It’s called Namma Bengaluru, and it’s usually much easier to get rides here than on Uber or Ola (their local Uber competitor) since all the money goes to the driver instead of having to split it. However, I believe it’s open source instead of a worker owned co-op.
Isn't India where Uber drivers will show up, cancel the ride, and then haggle with you on how much they're willing to drive you for? I heard that's the norm in some country...
I don’t remember for certain, it was a while ago, but I believe that Uber penalises drivers who cancel too many rides
