There is another side to this where they credit this poverty alleviation to the neoliberal economic system and lump China's contribution to this statistic with the rest of the world's to try and make it look like the world is improving under their auspices.

Over the last half decade or so they have dumped all pretense of wanting to tackle poverty and now it is just constant warmongering against the sinister asiatics and the orientals so lifting people out of poverty is not cool and hip anymore and the steven pinkers of the world are out of their jobs.

Don't take freaks like libsoftiktok at their word

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/us/news/2024/09/04/four-people-killed-in-georgia-high-school-shooting/

The suspect was allegedly bullied by his peers and frequently called “gay”, his father told investigators in a phone call in 2023.

That was not what the father was saying.

Illegal stuff has been happening on Telegram since forever.

Don't get me wrong. I am not saying that I've discovered the true machinations behind the arrest. Just bouncing my ideas.

I don't get it

They talk more about Hamas using Telegram than white supremacist terrorists if anyone was wondering what NYT has learnt from its genocidal reporting over the last 11 months.

Not being informed is why I labelled it a bad take. Like I don't know if stuff like this was what the CR was for. Or if it can be done without something like CR. i was gonna look into CR thos week but life keeps getting in the way b

Canada does not need a military.

Need depends on the goals. Specifically the actual goals and not the stated goals. The article addresses your point that Canada earlier did not need a military of its own because of its "military parasitism" as he calls it. They could rely on the American military for their strategic interests. Now that there is a emerging military industrial complex of its own, Canada "needs" a military because Canada is run by those who own these induatries and the existence and expansion of the military will enrich them.

I'll post my L up on this billboard. This will show everyone how insane they are.

I am pretty reticent too and it feels like a burden rather than a neutral characteristic. I feel if I could talk to someone about my thoughts or bounce my ideas off them I would feel better and maybe even flourish as a person but I can't. Either I don't have anyone who I think would "understand" me or I don't know how to convey my ideas properly. It's probably a combination of both but I don't know what to do about the latter.

Unforgivable that Xi Jinping has not broken into my home and whisked me away in the middle of the night away from this never-ending capitalist nightmare

That's a price in willing to pay

I used to watch Premier League a while back and I've only recently realised that there are no non-white English managers even though there are a ton of non-white (mostly black) English players.

EDIT: Also no non-white goalkeepers for whatever reason

A good read on how Canada cultivated its "nice" image at first and how its ghoulishness has now inevitably bared its face.

I hope this bubble bursts soon I'm getting real tired of it.

Question about Ryujinx LDN. Would it let me summon help in MGHU from anywhere in the world similar to how the game normally is? Or is it for playing with people on your local network only?

Seems to suggest that Bangladesh will go the way of Pakistan.

CW: I talk about sexual harrasment and paedo-adjacent content of the game.

In the past I have played Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload. I am currently playing Persona 5 Golden. I feel this game would be better off if the main characters were college students of college age rather than high school students without having to change the basic formula of the game much.

Reasons why I think so:

  • College-aged people struggle with self-discovery just as much as high school students.
  • Can still play as a mute pussy magnet.
  • The central premise of playing as a transfer student attending an educational institution can remain intact.
  • Clubs and sports still exist for social link inserts.
  • Persona games often deal with mature themes, which college age students can understand and process better than high school students.
  • Rampant sexual harrasment against the female characters is slightly less detestable because it is now being done to people of legal age rather than 16-17 year old children.
  • Can preserve the premise of the Heirophant arcana, where you live under the care of a non-parent guardian.
  • Several cases of exceptional students become easier to digest. For example, the police being assisted by ace detectives aged 20-22 is more believable than by ace detectives aged 16-18 (Naoto and Akechi)

Cons:

  • I don't know how the classroom sequence would work since colleges have a wider variety of classes with more agency for the students. Perhaps the MC could be the joker because there is a certain discipline like physchology that they are very well versed in and that is hardcoded in.
  • Less appeal to paedophiles.

In general I don't know if I have the confidence to suggest that college students are that much more mature than high school students. For me personally I felt I growed the most after college. But age is definitely a factor and for some people a few years can make a lot of difference.

I'm vaguely aware of what single sign on is. Though I don't use it, it seemed non-intrusive. The most you would see buttons to login through Google, Facebook etc.

Now some sites have an entire banner pestering you to sign in through your Google account. It has a big continue button that takes you to Google and the button to close is a small x in the corner. On mobile this banner takes up a third of the screen.

Why do this?
