It can work, but it adds a mountain of issues that weren't present on DX11, so it's a lot more situation.
I'm not against it, but that person would need to be a good fit and have a similar philosophy in relation to this community. And at current levels of activity, there isn't a particular need for it. If that were to change, I would more actively search for an additional person.
And in an unlikely case that I ever went MIA unannounced, the instance admins are pretty good at finding replacements during monthly server update posts. And they have a mod bot running at the instance level to generate reports on flagged content.
Can only speculate. 2020 version worked with Proton layer, but 2024 version only supports DX12, so it might be a bust.
On PC, only Windows 10 and 11 are supported operating systems. You may or may not be able to run it on other OSes, but this is unsupported and may not work as intended.

"The male driver, identified as Vem Miller, a 49-year-old resident of Las Vegas, was found to be illegally in possession of a shotgun, a loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine," police said. "Miller was taken into custody without incident and later booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center for possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine."
The authorities added, "This incident did not impact the safety of former President Trump or attendees of the event."
Miller is a Republican politician, according to Nevada state records.
As long as their DRM have a performance penalty it's not a solution. It's just a way to punish paying customers and discourage potential customers.
Depressingly that is kind of valid.
