The top comments are all calling her a dumbass, especially since Dasha got vaxxed and her Covid was mild. Also some of these comments are really vicious and personal, not that Anna K dosen't fully deserve it since she is the one who cultivated this following and with all the shit she's talked in the past.

Like the old Chapo sub had a contentious relationship with the hosts but we were way more civil than this.

I'm going to be blunt here. I have no clue what a Chapotraphouse is and I thought Red Scare was what Americans do whenever you so much as mention taxes in their presence.

I always assumed that they were spiteful morons just based on the company they kept, but finding out that Anna almost died and Dasha took horse dewormer gives me that proof that I needed.

based on the company they kept

It’s wild (and paranoia inducing) to me that they’re the degree of separation between Alex Jones and TrueAnon

All three groups have made a career out of being "edgy" to varying degrees. I see them all as basically apolitical, so it doesn't seem so weird that they'd brush elbows.

doesn't she have an account on hexbear wtf

I remember one of the two of them hopped on to the discord before this place was open for business. I would guess they're aware we exist, but I don't recall any specific posts

I really don't think so

Wow, what an utterly dogshit community - Guess it matches the podcast/hosts lmao

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Definitely a :fuck-around: vibe

What a moron lol

This is the danger of pure blind contrarianism

I never understood the "hating chapo" thing. I didn't come here through the sub, so IDGI

There's the dirtbag left that sees liberal civility politics as a way of constraining the Overton window, but in a broad sense of quashing universal justice or even discussing who/what that applies to. Chapo's wrapped in layers of irony/absurdism/bullying but it's ultimately a humanist and biocentric kind of socialism that's building more bridges between similar struggles.

There's the dirtbag left that wants economic redistribution but also has South Park brain and refuses to challenge any of their reactionary beliefs. The civility they're attacking is any kind of sincerity and intersectionality or threat to their own privilege. They're teenagers who grew larger more than they are any kind of identifiable socialist tendency, short of Nazbol.

This is a really good explanation. The dirtbag leftism that Chapo Trap House and its followers helped propel from 2016 onwards is very different from the stupidpol movement that branched off from it, as you say. The chapo boys (and girl) make fun of civility politics as a small but important part of a greater project to reduce the legitimacy of the ghouls in power and get the left in power electorally, whether we think this will work or not. The stupidpol movement sees the destruction of civility politics as the whole point of leftism with no real project beyond that (beyond occasionally saying idiotic shit like "iF wE dIdN't HaVe GeNdEr PoLiTiCs We MiGhT haVe HeAlThCaRe RiGhT nOw").

Eh CTH itself has flirted with blaming the problems of the left on those pesky Ess Jay Dubyas and their intersectionality. They're closer to their fellow brooklyn do-nothing political infotainers than they are to what was the subreddit.

Which is why they hated the sub, and why we'd always joke that :citations-needed: was the sub's official podcast.

When I see r/stupidpol or r/redscarepod or r/cumtown use Marxist language I feel like I'm having a stroke. They have zero understanding of the ethics behind the words or their history or the bigger picture they represent. Cryptofascists who never learned what happens to Strasserites when they feed the dragon that hates them.
