Strangely, German government seems to have a strong affinity Zionists and the uSA

Who is increasing their reliance on America in 2026?

[-] Peehole@piefed.social 22 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Sounds like the same old Germany move as relying on Russian oil & gas

[-] HumbleExaggeration@feddit.org 3 points 2 days ago

Nordstream 3 announcement in 3, 2, 1...

[-] SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social 21 points 2 days ago

Ihr Arschlöcher bringt mich wirklich noch dazu auf die Straße zu gehen, oder was? Ich bin faul, das Wetter ist scheiße, ich will nicht raus. Aber irgendwann ist mal gut 😐

[-] SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social 6 points 2 days ago

(angry German noises)

[-] Ooops@feddit.org 3 points 2 days ago

Mach dir nichts draus.

Also wenn, dann tu was sinnvolles.

„our requirements are unique, we can not build a fighter together with France because it does not fit our requirements!“

Then they go ahead and want to buy standard American fighters… what a joke.

[-] Asinus@feddit.org 1 points 2 days ago

Because of nuclear sharing which would never really happen anyway. But it's a great way for the americans to say: "you got to buy our shit, we make sure nothing else is compatible"

[-] zaphod@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago

Well, the bombs are already here, you can probably jailbreak them like an F-35. And AFAIK Germany didn't want to handover the plans for the Typhoon to get compatibility for the bombs.

A striking combination of corruption and idiocy

[-] tomiant@piefed.social 15 points 2 days ago

"That's it, I'm quitting drugs. But first! A quick stop at my dealer's..."

[-] Sirius006@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago

My guess is that as Dassault is difficult to negotiate with for the joint fighter program, they are pulling a 'look how unreasonable we can be if YOU don't get reasonable' stunt. If so it makes sense

[-] Ooops@feddit.org 6 points 2 days ago

For years social media has happily parroted the right-wing German media and screamed and screamed to get those corrupt conservatives back into office.

And now the same people complain about corrupt puppets doing corrupt puppet things... 🤣

[-] AI_toothbrush@lemmy.zip 9 points 2 days ago

For fucks sake, i really cant say anything else. Just get a fucking gripen

[-] ZkhqrD5o@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Eurofighter is newer and better.

[-] foliumcreations@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Wasn't the first batch of the new Gripen E delivered in 2025? Is there a newer version of the Eurofighter?

[-] ZkhqrD5o@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Gripen introductiom date: 9 June 1996 Eurofighter introduction date: 4 August 2003

Just looked it up, wasn't as much as I thought it was.

[-] foliumcreations@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Ohh okay, you are just going by first introduction, not latest model released.

[-] zaphod@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago

The Typhoon gets upgrades too, latest model is called Tranche 5. Not sure about the official "release date", they haven't been built yet but are expected to be delivered in 2030 or so.

[-] DmMacniel@feddit.org 11 points 2 days ago

For fucking sake Pistorius! America is not the be trusted!

[-] zaphod@sopuli.xyz 15 points 2 days ago

In that case they could just buy more Typhoons instead of introducing yet another jet.

[-] trollercoaster@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 days ago

Especially one that can be grounded by the US ceasing delivery of spare parts. If there isn't even a kill switch.

[-] BigShammy80@feddit.org 4 points 2 days ago

Exactly. It should be clear not to buy Fighter Jets from a country, that probably is the enemy in the future... Trump gives a flying fuck about europe and we still buy jets from them...

[-] krigo666@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Depends on the intended role. The Gripen is more akin to the F-35 than the Typhoon, and probably much more cheaper to operate.

[-] trollercoaster@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 days ago

Also much more suitable for operations with little supporting infrastructure.

[-] comrade_twisty@feddit.org 11 points 2 days ago

Probably better off to invest the money into domestic drone production instead.

Sounds like Berlin wants to pressure Paris concerning FCAS.

Ban lengths, etc.

We will use some leeway to decide whether to remove a comment.
