in a struggle no less than herculean, i successfully replaced exactly 1 of my car's shitty ancient ball joints, with the help of a good friend. tomorrow i gotta get the other one, but for now i rest.

My friend just got engaged and is having a kid! I'm super happy for them.

Did my first watercolor painting yesterday. Very different vibe from my acrylic paintings, but nice. I bought a bigger watercolor brush and some bigger paper.

I just got started on an SSRI and so far it's treating me well. I didn't expect it to make food taste better or be a de facto pain killer by negating my depression's pain magnification effect. Or to improve my digestion or energy or all the other things that in retrospect are in fact depression symptoms, and my shit was so bad I was crying literally every day with rare exception for almost a year. Mostly, didn't expect it to make a difference right away. But it does.

Also finally got a neck x-ray and chiropractic adjustment, and I'm going in for another one and some PT tomorrow so I'll be feeling even better the rest of the week, I'm sure. After that I have acting class, which has been a lot of fun so far, and then work (boo) and then karaoke night, hopefully with a good turnout from my coworkers. Gonna do one of standbys, either "Aerials" or "House of the Rising Sun." Then Thursday off, where I'll have to get caught up on my 3D Design homework and hopefully get some writing or art done. I should set specific goals on that last one. Write a couple pages of a scene I've not set to prose yet, and actually commit to drawing my protagonist, I guess.

I can see the light at the end of this multiple months of personal struggle, work is going well, and my comrades and I have forged a new path in organising locally. I dont want to get too ahead of myself but things are looking up ⤴️

My partner finally landed her union contract, she was on the negotiation team. Biggest pay increase they've had in over a decade and it's finally bumped their pay scales into decent pay! 😄

My favorite hen has done me the favor of going broody. Every time I check on her she just gives me a "fuck off im busy" look and keeps sitting there like a rock. I'm gonna check to see how they are going tomorrow.
