Is it me of everthing I've seen from this place looks like from the 1950s ?
Trends change due to popular demand. There is no popular demand in North Korea, so nothing advances. Their whole culture is based around the idea that they have a divine origin and the Kim family is ordained to lead them. If everything was "perfect" with the first Kim, Kim Il Sung, in the 1960s, then changing or updating anything would be saying that his style was not perfect. It's an endless loop of "Kim showed us the perfect life in 1960, so we all live in 1960 forever and anyone who wants anything different is a heretic."

By "looks like the 1950s" what these guys actually mean is "there aren't ads everywhere in every single photo."
This is what I mean when I say I like 1950s aesthetics. Well, that and the Cold War. Not that I miss Western views of communists being even worse than present day, but, I do miss "The Commies" having some power and cultural impact.
Western liberals say communist propaganda plastered everywhere in socialist states is dystopian, but I'd massively prefer it over the advertising plastered everywhere in Western capitalist countries. Or better yet, don't cover every square inch of available space with a poster or banner or billboard.
Commie propaganda plastered everywhere: A mural of a woman scientist with a slogan like "equal opportunities for all."
Capitalist advertising everywhere: A giant billboard of a woman in a bikini drinking a coke, "the thirst quencher"
This, for sure. At least the commie posters aren't blatantly sexist, and often advocate for the equality of the systematically oppressed.
Pyongyang's gamer cafe would probably blow their mind.
When thinking about the level of technology in DPRK, I want people to remember Israel's pager attack on Lebanon. Israel made a whole fake pager company to sell Lebanon pagers which had bombs inside of them.
The US is still an active aggressor towards DPRK. US-ROK-Japan stages active military drills to practice war against DPRK, twice every year, Ulchi Freedom Guardian.
DPRK has to be skeptical towards western technology because the US will hide malice within the technology. If not literal explosives, then likely spyware or other malware.
DPRK has been receiving new technology from new trade agreements with Russia starting 2023-2024.
Wow you upvoted this but that poor person went down a slide into a vat of acid
Holy shit reddit has reactionary stances on North Korea? Unbookmarked
Lol that dude is getting launched like an ICBM.
here's the full article published by the DPRK. I have 59 photos from the same event posted in a comment.
