These kids are so much better in every way, there is no comparison. Literally no way in which they're worse.

Back in 2007-2019, if you were annoying at my schools, it would usually be restricted to the enjoyment of a small group of friends, and people would either ostracize you if it crosses the line, or if you annoyed them physically, they would beat you. Now being annoying and harassing people is rewarded financially, so everyone wants to become the next viral sensation everybody talks about for a few days.

We've had many generations of children that were raised by television, video games, and media but in this day and age our youth is being raised by the Internet in general. And the capitalist who run everything related to the Internet have been conditioning and targeting our youth, most effectively since the pandemic.

It is is our duty as Marxist to combat against this and educate, organize, and guide our youth away from this conditioning.

Most teens today are very much aware of the symptoms of capitalism, we need to get to them before the capitalist and fascists do

They are though. At least in rural areas. Most of the dumb shit kids did was isolated to bigger cities, now all the shit trends spread through social media. It used to be that the only thing anyone was creative enough to come up with was drink homemade wine and maybe hotwire a car. Now we have skinner boxes encouraging increasingly stupid and worse ways to interact with people.

Plus the pandemic fucked up a lot of people's social skills but that's not a moral judgment.

They're obviously worse about a few minor things but overall? They are way kinder to each other. They are more accepting of differences.

FWIW the teens i've met in my hobby electronics club are pretty much people I would've been thrilled to know in high school. Didn't really know a whole lot of people with common interests at the time, or with the same degree of interest in them.

Theyre probably less annoying overall but more annoying in some specific ways and I dont know what those ways would be.

They're fine. They're dumb but they're fine and probably slightly less dumb than we were, but in very different ways.

Also for all we dunk on the 19 year old anarcho-bidenists, they're speedrunning the path to tendencies that don't suck and you can talk with. Half of us were libs in 2016, another quarter anti-USSR trots and leftcoms with antimatter takes like "ISIS is the only party in Syria worthy of Critical Support," and the rest will have questions about their presence on 4 Chan come up at the truth and reconciliation commission...
