What kind of a dose are we talking about here? Giving someone depression or epilepsy is going to take a lot more than a single hit.
tripping intensely without knowing you've been given acid (or even what acid is) could be a terrifying experience and deeply traumatic
I vaguely remember the MKUltra ones had bonkers high doses for long periods of time (like, a month). These guys, idk. It would be pretty distressing if you didn't know you were getting dosed but you still had to show up for your drill sergeant to yell at you to do push ups or something
How bout the time they had sailors sit on the outside of the ships and detonated nukes in the distance, just for giggles. They reported being able to see the bones in their fingers, through closed eyes, as they covered their faces.
