Its maddening to see these two stories currently unfolding side by side.
One report on the Jordan Neely murder trial started with the newscaster talking about how his murderer appeared in court in a suit... like, what? Are ya'll really trying to paint this guy as a prim and proper, upstanding citizen while he's on trial for murder? And throughout the coverage they keep on emphasizing what the defense is saying, in particular the "everyone on the train was afraid" angle. At one point they even said that the prosecution made no attempt to refute that the other passengers were scared as if that's justification for Neely's murder.
