Big brain tech dude got yet another clueless take over at HackerNews etc? Here's the place to vent. Orange site, VC foolishness, all welcome.

Later, he boasted of spending the next year “travelling around from major city to major city, just setting up these cells”

Iirc a few mass shooter manifestos also claim this sort of behaviour. So without more facts backing this up it might just be fight club cosplaying. (And yes setting up these kinds of paramilitary fight clubs is very fascist (and quite cringe and weird with the hitting each other, just go to a metal/punk mosh pit))

i mean, he's saying "met up with my fellow put-in-a-locker-nazis"

Yeah im trying to point how bog standard mass shooter neo-nazi this stuff is. Including claiming the far right things they say are not far right, 'normies' etc. next steps are either murder or being revealed as into 'lolis'.

(E: Btw don't get me wrong, these people are still dangerous (esp as one of their goals is always stochastic terrorism), even if they follow tired old patterns).

Right? They're taking piles of cash and using it to reinvent the wheel, except dumber.

This seems to be a common pattern with cranks of all kinds, doesn't it? They just can't be bothered to learn any history, even their own.

Between October and November last year, Frost and Ahrens were filmed pitching plans for what they called a “gentlemen’s club”, with members paying for networking and training courses. While the plan now appears to have been abandoned, Ahrens seemed to suggest that recruits could be transformed into an elite group modelled on the SS

hmm where did I see something like this before. it's on the tip of my tongue...

Commenting purely on my own national history,

Trump, who has promised mass deportations should he win a second term as US president, told an interviewer last month: “We got a lot of bad genes in our country right now.”

Couldn't possibly be from generations of inbreeding due to CSA. Sorry, can't think of a good euphemism, since "blue blood" implies wealth and "pedigree" faults the children who had zero choice in the matter.

I don't understand/can't see the point you're trying to make

Less well known, but perhaps more interesting given that the phrase blue blood has already been used.

For a second I was wondering how on earth race science got funded by torpedoing a network of tech billionaire.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

@bitofhope @dgerard is that like torpedoing the submarine with the billionaires in it?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 day ago (1 children)

those self-crush, it's apparently a feature not a bug

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 day ago

The bug is that it's hard too put billionaires in the self-crushing submarine, that difficulty needs to be nerfed
