If porky needs me so badly that he would die if a single employee took one unpaid day off, then imagine all the extra cash we can yank out of that pig’s trotters if multiple workers threatened to not go to work unless he parted with some of his precious cash stack.

Yes, but the only person who's getting dressed up is going to be the boss, and the workers are the ones who choose the clothes. The boss ends up wearing clown makeup and 50 coats on top of each other, each a size too small.
This has to have at least a little irony poisoning to it, right? They can't be that childish in their expectations without at least a hint of "just joking" cowardice, right? 
Sounds like a guy that misses the "good old days" of outright slavery and indentured servitude. Place screams for unionization.
I'd have to deface this sign the minute I saw the "I'd take a pay cut to keep working here" spot. Like, this is why I carry sharpies right next to the folding knife when I leave the house.

The font and style looks like something you'd find in an elementary school classroom where I grew up.
You're gonna go home early anyway, so why should I invite you to do it?
These are always the kind of managers who (unsolicited) tell me I don't conduct myself appropriately in the workplace, as if they have better social and communication skills.
This is just someone who resents responsibility and has no interest in making sure their business runs efficiently. You want me to act like an owner? Give me and all the other employees equal share to you in the company. You want to not have to enforce rules of conduct? Give up your leadership position. It’s your fucking job.
Assuming this is real, I want to flay this person
There is one of these in light blue that I would say all the time if it wouldn't get me disciplined.
The best you'll get from me is "I won't personally advocate for you being thrown in a pit", and that's a high bar.
