I'm playing with the keyboard and mouse, and the climbing is very clunky so far overall, but it seems completely broken for the spire.

when I get to the second to the last hand holds and I have to reach out and then long jump to the highest hand holds so that I can jump into the spire, aloy reaches out but only jumps to the left or right off the spire, she will not jump up to the highest, final handhold, even if she's reaching straight up.

has anyone else played this with a mouse and keyboard instead of a controller?

I've tried different key bindings and default, but she only jumps left or right off the spire and refuses to jump up to the highest handhold.

it looks very much like this guys problem, but he's playing it with a controller and finally solved it, sayd his problem was custom key bindings and the solution was default, but I can't get anywhere with these keyboard controls.

fuck.

One in four foster kids will end up homeless.

https://nfyi.org/issues/homelessness/

up to 3 out of 10 homeless people are foster kids who aged out.

what the fuck.

I thought it was bad enough knowing about the veteran rights.

some of the studies show higher rates.

The studies. on the homeless children.

in the preview I can see them under the post, I've added share and save, but on the actual posts in the feed on any layout, share and save are not in the quick action bar.

do I have to enable something else also?

thanks

I really liked the original movie, I'm not interested at all in the live action, but there seem to be so many anime tv shows and movies that I'm at a loss where to start except hopping through chronologically by production.

I'd like to avoid repeats, so I don't really care about ovas.

I watched the original, I want to continue that story, but I have no idea if that's how the story goes in all the subsequent productions I'm seeing.

so please without spoiling anything, explain which path I should take.

hiboy looks good, but I see a lot of disparaging reviews concerning its build quality.

any firsthand experience with a solid-wheel scooter is what I'm looking for, thanks!

or was there iconic scratchy rapid frenetic drum electronic scraping noises before Bowie?

listening to these songs. I kept thinking about Skrillex, but that wasn't for another 13 years.

Anecdotal:

I found the most effective way is not to explain it all at one time, but to make off the cuff remarks that clearly show you disagree with what they said without making it sound like you're attacking them because they'll stop internalizing anything you say instantly that way.

I knew someone that often made homophobic comments, and I always made a point to casually reply "nah, it never really bothered me", or "sure, but it doesn't affect your life at all" and shrug.

For a long time they said something like "yuck, It's just gross" or " I don't like it", but I never pursued the topic any more than my disagreeing comments until months later they asked me "okay, seriously how does it not bother you that gay people..."

That's the point where you can bring up logic or expand on what you think.

And again, don't go overboard, but you can expand on the points that it doesn't affect your life how other people choose to love or who other people choose to love, and isn't the world a better place with more love in it?

Simple, concise, irrefutable statements that are easy to digest once someone is asking questions and willing to listen to your answer.

Then you just let them digest that.

Apparently the comment that eventually clicked in their head in my situation was "isn't the world a better place with more love in it?" because we interacted almost daily and they didn't make homophobic comments for a while after the one time we had a longer conversation about gay people(they had been making less homophobic comments around me since I began replying with those casual comments during this whole process, which took months probably), and then one day we went to dinner again and he explicitly told me that that comment had been rattling around in his head and while he still thought it was weird for two dudes to kiss each other, he had come to the conclusion that it was crazy for him to react so strongly because obviously the world is a better place with more love in it and besides it doesn't actually affect his life at all.

And I just said " that's great" or something and left it at that.

So now anytime I hear someone say something -ist, I casually but directly disagree and then let it go until the next time or unless they ask what I mean.

Anyone I've tried to talk to in any extended manner without them expressing curiosity first pulls their limbs and head into a shell and works on developing whatever prejudice they have to make it more foolproof and less prone to examination.

2nd:

It doesn't always take months, I mett one guy walking his dog sitting at a park bench once who had similar prejudices and I did the exact same thing, a casual comment and he wanted to enter into a deeper conversation right away that it later became clear, had led him to critically examining his ideas.

But patience is key for sure with this method.

For anyone curious, this bill is fighting against the conservative SCOTUS decision that basically said fossil fuel and other companies don't have to listen to the EPA or follow environmental regulations if the company has a "reasonable"(undefined) argument against said regulation.

So this law should get made. Get made good.

Kyle is a cool guy.

How bizarre that an Australian politician is getting his panties in a twist over American politics.

I'm aware of the cultural absorption by other countries of American culture, but it really seems subordinate and pandering of politicians from other countries to emotionally invest themselves in American issues.

Almost as bad as the pandering, subservient American politicians themselves.

A lot of conservatives think trrmp is a traitor, too.

I mean, they should. The evidence provides.

But they usually think he betrayed the extremes of their bigotries rather than the country and general decency.

I just said this yesterday or two days ago when they announced they were going to start paying people for content, but it truly is amazing how Reddit can find another significant thing that will hurt them as a business and move forward with it.

It seems like they'd run out of things that could significantly hurt their business, they just keep finding something else.

Soon they're going to be down to basic features, And they'll be like hey look so hyperlinks don't work anymore. And then that'll be the end of the press release.

Their "business decisions" are insane right now.

It's very difficult to see this procession of self-mutilation technologically in another light other than deliberate corporate suicide. Like is someone going to benefit if Reddit goes bankrupt? Is that what's happening?
