Standard time was the standard: noon was when sun was directly overhead. Daylight saving time is revisionist bullshit.

Standard time should be treated like the four humors or the plum pudding model of the atom; It was the best we had for a while, but it’s obsolete since we discovered a better way
Reject tradition, embrace modernity
Daylight savings time only saves daylight in the context of you spending your entire day working and being spared the paltry scraps of the day, and outside of a 40+ hour workweek is a meaningless shift of numbers on a clock that only serves to move noon and midnight away from any kind of astronomical or biological signifiers
Reject modernity, embrace tradition, demand to work less for moneygrubbing assholes
