Democracy and its consequences have been a disaster for ~~the human race~~ anyone who doesn't want to be punished by the stupidity of normies.
I am once again reminding you that practicing basic empathy is necessary for a socialist and sneering at "normies" is for channers doing sour grapes regarding their own social maladjustment.
He is not sneering at the normies in a vacuum, he's doing it as a response to something and it seems fair to me.
But the issue is that in many respects he is indeed looking at the action in a vacuum rather than digging deeper into why people's circumstances would lead them to conclude they should vote for this guy
There was a dark day when I realized the reason neoliberals claim to love democracy so much is that they see voting as just another front for advertising, marketing, and manipulating people into doing their bidding in sufficient numbers to make line go up.
having a few votes every four years or so, with no way to recall politicians, is not democracy (even if the voting process is perfect and the voters have the time and ability to inform themselves on political issues, which is not the case in any capitalist country)
