Many cis ppl think transphobia is basically just being rude, masking it as "having concerns" or whatever passes under the radar for them. Same way lots of white ppl think racism is just yelling the n word

Yea 100%, it's so common even in people who believe they support us. I saw someome (not here) the other day say they support trans people. But not trans women in sports, non passing trans women in bathrooms, trans women going to women's prison, and were not sure if trans youth should get healthcare. Fantastic.

On that post from that mod, he listened to us upon it being explained that it was transphobic and deleted the post. It sucks that we had to see and do that, but he's clearly trying and listening which is about all I can hope for from cis allies.
I along with another trans person had to explain some transphobic beliefs that my irl bestie and closest ally had held. It's just so engrained in every part of society.
Yes, i agree that it's prevalent and that sometimes the cissies need an explanation. The thing is, in the case of GlimmerTwin, he's been acting transphobic in the past, was openly dismissive when i tried to explain to him what the problem was and now he's at it again. Some people just do not want to learn.

I've seen a few crypto transphobes pop off lately. On the one hand
but also on the other, I'm glad they're showing their faces so we can take action.
What action was taken against the mod, they still are a mod no?
Let me dm you to make sure we're talking about the same thing, and then I'll publicly clarify here.
No action was taken against that mod. In this case he resolved it himself when asked to, and he also advised the mod team that the post in question was a repost originally by another user, and directed that information to that comm's mod team.
When I found out about this, I didn't call for any additional action because I considered the action resolved on the basis that he had listened to his trans comrades and corrected his behavior by deleting the post, and stated that he was taking notes for the future which he immediately demonstrated by helping call attention to another offending post so that it could be deleted for transphobia.
If you agree or disagree with my assement please let me know, I'm here for you all and I want to do what's right by you.
