I recently got out of a relationship and the other night I ordered a basic starter dildo. Is there anything in particular I should know about maintenance and cleaning? Like what kind of environment is best to keep it in, are certain kinds of lube damaging to the dildo, are there best cleaning practices, do I need special cleaner or will soap do just fine? I use J lube and find it to be the best lube ive tried. You have to mix it before you play tho, so that might be a turn off. But mixing it us easy enough.
Stick to water based lube imo. Silicon lube can damage toys. Idk about oil based lube, i dont use it.
Keep your dildo stored clean and dry; as long as its clean it doesnt really matter.
Clean your dildo after every use.
