Slop was the subject of my studies!
Imagine going back in time 50 years to see some Civil War researcher and telling them, "oh yeah read your book in college, excellent slop!"

That's a fascinating subject! A friend of mine's partner specializes in the semiotics of comic books. I've had great conversations with him talking slop in general.
