There's great potential for a post-Lovecraft cosmic horror setting where everything fundies believe about Supply-Side Jesus and the vengeful creator of the universe punishing people for what they do in their bedrooms is all actually literally true.
This is essentially the plot of Stross' fourth Laundry Novel. What if Quiverrful Jesus was a sleeping Lovecraftian entity? What if their head megachurch pastor got a meeting with Starmer?
