It distresses me how widespread "who hurt you?"
is as a near-universal put down.
Yes, people have been hurt, are hurt, are continuing to be hurt, and I feel a deep disgust in my bones for the lowkey ableistic assholes that use that put down to score smugpoints.
The one single time public outcried (even one bishop joined) in III Reich at the cruel policy was the extermination of people deemed mentally ill. Hitler even listened and ordered to pause the action... after nearly every one of potential victims were dead. And this outcry only even happened in the first place because the victims were overwhelmingly German.
