okay question to Agenders but first context
OKAY so i got good vibes from this one professor so I told them I was trans (as part of an assignment ofc writing intensives are hard, but gender is easy to write lots of things about) and MY VIBES WERE CORRECT THEY'RE TRANS TOO (Agender specifically)
Agender professor!
uh how does one like talk to professors im scared of them? anyone can answer this please help
Im shooting a message back in another assignment and i was thinking of making an edit of a blahaj with an agender flag on it and i was wondering if there is a more appropriate figure for agenders? What are the Agender stereotypes that would communicate as a message of solidarity and shared community?
am i just overthinking this and should just put an agender flag on a blahaj picture and attach it to my homework
As someone who has taught college, I think you're overthinking. Some professors think it's inappropriate to share little memes like that, but I have to imagine if they told you they were agender, then they would be perfectly happy to get something like that from you
Most professors really like making connections with students that way, and they will probably interpret it as proof they make you feel safe in the classroom
Not a professor but I teach a college class, so I guess I'm professor adjacent. I actually adore it when students reach out to form connections with me in a nonacademic but not inappropriate way. I had a student tell me they're a communist while walking back to my office one day, and for the rest of the semester we had regular politics chats.
All this to say that I would personally adore it if a student attached a blahaj to an assignment or something silly like that. It would make my day.
