Expired by a day and it goes into a locked dumpster. These are companies making millions a day.

Even better is when they know the food is still good, so they purposely ruin it by dumping bleach or shit on it

To the credit of my workplace they never do this, they will discount steaks to like 98 cents and if they still don't sell we just give them away at the end of the night to coworkers and customers alike. As long as you freeze it before it's fresh sell date it's good for a while.
